The Manna House is a food kitchen in South Norwalk that serves 100 -150 meals 3 times a day, every day, to homeless people in SoNo. They also operate a shelter, food pantry and clothing center. The operation is partially underwritten by State & Federal funding, but they rely on private donations to maintain their level of service.
Our brother Thom Murray has been cooking there for over 20 years. It's a bitersweet fact that he's lost count of how many classmates from Norwalk High he's served.
We're confident that donating every penny we collect beyond break even point is a good cause. Anyone who might be interested in donating to The Good Shepherd House themselves should contact Thom at thmurray@aol.com for details. All donations are welcome and needed for those in our own hometown who are less fortunate than us.
So far I've been unable to find any links to stories or other online info about The Good Shepherd House, but I'll continue to try and will post anything I can find.
